Details
With the theme, “Sustainable Transport for All”, the objectives of the 2016 year’s Forum were to:
- Facilitate knowledge sharing among transport practitioners in Asia and the Pacific;
- Highlight emerging issues and innovative approaches in scaling up sustainable transport initiatives;
- Benchmark progress in advancing lowcarbon transport initiatives in the region, particularly in line with Paris Agreement;
- Scale up capacity building on specific transport knowhow through deep dive sessions.
Services
The resource person was be the presenter in the knowledge sharing session at the 5th ADB Transport Forum in Manila. The resource person was be invited to:
- Knowledge sharing session that takes place on Wednesday, 14 September, tentatively between 12:00 and 13:30, and present challenges and lessons learned in developing quality bidding documents in CIS countries;
- Share field observations and experiences from interviews with contractors, supervision engineers, executing agencies, design bureaus, and road maintenance agencies on project development processes and procedures for IFI funded road projects;
- Focus on recent effort in the development of quality specifications and BoQ in Uzbekistan and highlighting remaining works to be done linking design and standard drawings with standard specifications and BoQ;
- Propose future actions to ensure continuous improvement and sustainability of standard specifications including special provisions, BoQ, and design and standard drawings.
